Job Title: Software Test Engineer (C#) - Only USC

Pay Rate: $33.07/Hr

Duration: 12 months

Location: Johnson City, TN

Work Schedule: On-site 5 days per week for the first several months, and thereafter, a possibility of a hybrid schedule (3 days per week onsite)

Shift: 9AM - 5PM (Monday to Friday - 40 Hours a Week)

This position is for the Factory Automation division.

We are looking for an entry-level Software Test Engineer

• Primary responsibility will be to implement and test solutions on a Windows-based C# desktop application used for testing of firmware for complex embedded runtime environments used in industrial automation products
• Develop test programs using C#
• Completes the development of software test requirements for modules under development.
• Executes software (unit and integration) tests.
• Agile/Lean software development process.
• Reviews relevant requirements, standards, and other documentation to clarify and understand software engineering requirements.
• Adheres to the software quality process through the execution of module, subsystem, and system test procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements and define test cases
• Evaluate the testability of requirements and provide feedback
• Identify potential technical issues or design flaws
• Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including developers, support staff, technical writers, project managers, and QA personnel

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Programming experience in C# is required.
• Object-oriented programming experience is required.
• Experience or knowledge of developing test automation applications
• Linux programming experience is a big wish, but not absolutely required.
• Knowledge in testing firmware for complex embedded runtime environments is a plus. Experience with Industrial Automation and systems Motion is a plus
• Using Industrial Automation systems: Motion controls, I/Os, etc., are pluses
• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
