Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (Truck Loading Scheduling)
Pay Rate: $30 to $33/HR
Duration: 3 months
Location: Alsip, IL
Shift: 8 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minutes break) - Overtime may be required.
This position is for an international manufacturer of specialty materials.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support truck scheduling and loading operations for a global manufacturer of specialty materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely shipments and efficient logistics operations.
- Schedule outbound truck shipments to ensure on-time and efficient delivery
- Coordinate with multiple carriers to manage load planning and scheduling
- Oversee truck loading operations at regular 2-hour intervals
- Ensure product readiness and balance load distribution across carriers
- Coordinate rail switching activities with railroad personnel
- Manage railcar logistics, including ordering and consumption tracking
Requiremensts
- High School Diploma required, Associates' or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics operations
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
