We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Porter / Janitorial professional to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are kept pristine, safe, and welcoming for staff, visitors, and clients alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices for moving supplies, furniture, or equipment.
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to uphold a professional appearance.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained, stored securely, and used efficiently during daily routines.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during custodial tasks to prevent accidents or injuries and promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with light maintenance duties such as minor repairs or residential painting as needed to support overall facilities upkeep.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning standards.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or light painting is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed safety protocols consistently while performing cleaning or maintenance duties.
Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
