Job Summary:

Informatix is currently seeking a Data Entry Specialist to work out of our Phoenix, AZ office. The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for opening and scanning of incoming mail and the accurate and timely data entry/research of payments received on a daily basis as well as assist in handling customer service emails and calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate data entry/research of payments received on a daily basis
  • Phone-based and email-based customer service, including taking inbound calls to assist website users, as well as responding to emails from users
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures regarding payment posting rules and online special payment processing instructions
  • Use various computer programs to perform initial research of unidentified receipts
  • Understanding the workflow of the Mailroom, including the movement of payments from the initial receipt of mail to storage of source documents
  • Understanding the Opex 3600 equipment, including proper operation, cleaning and normal care
  • Efficiently and effectively open and scan mail received
  • Processing of hand open mail
  • Verifying that scanned images are readable and correctly coded
  • Appropriately filing source documents and checks after processing
  • Understanding all types of mail received and how to process the different types of mail
  • Provide backup to other departments, as needed

Required Qualifications:

Candidates will have:

  • High School Diploma or GED certification
  • Experience in a high-volume data entry environment
  • Accurate and efficient 10-key skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to learn and retain policies and procedures
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Attentive to detail
  • Ability to be flexible with fluctuating work volumes and commitment to get the job done
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with efficiency and accuracy
  • Prior experience in a mailroom and/or payment processing operation highly desirable

Must be able to work the following schedule:

  • Monday 6 am – 2:30 pm
  • Tues 6:30 am - 3 pm
  • Weds 6:30 am - 3 pm
  • Thurs 6:30-3 pm
  • Friday 6:30 am - 3 pm
