About the Position
IRG Clients is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator – Advanced to join the team within the Network Operations Center. This is a new position created to address increasing workload and to support the delivery of enterprise network and identity services, including SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication solutions.
The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving statewide connectivity, security, and performance for a large-scale public sector network environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise network operations within the Network Operations Center (NOC), ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient connectivity across state agencies.
- Manage and troubleshoot issues related to SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication systems.
- Assist with network architecture, configuration, optimization, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with Operations and Security teams to enhance network identity and access control mechanisms.
- Provide onsite technical support, documentation, and coordination for network projects and upgrades.
- Travel to various Field Offices throughout South Carolina as needed to perform installations, maintenance, or onsite troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network administration, LAN/WAN architecture, and network security protocols.
- Demonstrated experience with SD-WAN implementation and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and secure authentication systems (e.g., RADIUS, TACACS , Kerberos, or SAML).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent enterprise network hardware.
- Proven ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex network issues in real time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in state or public-sector IT environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based network services and zero-trust architecture models.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Working knowledge of VoIP and wireless infrastructure management.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network , Security , or CISSP.
