Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning and deep learning models
- Architect and build scalable AI platforms and data pipelines
- Oversee data acquisition, preprocessing, and feature engineering processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
- Optimize, monitor, and continuously improve model performance in production
- Drive MLOps best practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and lifecycle management
- Work with large-scale datasets leveraging big data technologies
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of experience in AI/ML development or related field
- Expert-level programming skills in Python (required); experience with R, Java, or C is a plus
- Deep understanding of machine learning concepts (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning)
- Strong experience with neural networks including CNNs and RNNs
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and scikit-learn
- Advanced data analysis skills including data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Apache Spark and OpenSearch
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics (linear algebra, calculus, probability)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools such as NLTK, spaCy, or Hugging Face Transformers
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong knowledge of MLOps principles and tools for model deployment and monitoring
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to work onsite 4–5 days per week in Herndon, VA
- Must be open to converting to a full-time employee in October 2026
Salary : $90 - $100
