What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at InFocus Eyecare?
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Inventory Specialist is an individual that is proficient at mathematics and is great at using numbers to measure inventory levels. They should understand how to compare various shipment costs to account for the company’s budget. Since they’re regularly building inventory strategies and processes in partnership with the Inventory Manager, The Inventory Specialist should have great organizational skills to effectively sort through inventory tasks and stay updated on inventory levels.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the receiving, processing and exporting of all frame inventories for 20 locations.
- Reports to the Inventory Manager on day-to-day operations and inventory counts by location.
- Maintaining accurate inventory counts within EHR systems across the company.
- Regular use of Excel - updating reporting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Ensures that all frame inventory is being processed in accordance with company designated guidelines.
- Makes recommendations for efficiencies, processes, etc. which will deliver either quality, cost savings, and/or profitability improvements within the inventory process and/or across the organization.
- Performs other duties within the office as requested and as time allows.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School or GED qualification
- Excellent organizational skills a must.
- Attention to detail and ability to detect, track and correct discrepancies in a fast-paced environment required.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position.
- Effective & professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience maintaining patients' records / files per HIPAA regulations a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the team over the individual.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
