What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Administrator Consultant (Benefitfocus or Empyrean) position at Info Origin Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Benefitfocus or Empyrean Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in Plan Configuration and Feed Management to support enterprise benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit plans.
- Build and manage eligibility rules, coverage tiers, life events, and Open Enrollment configurations.
- Manage carrier, payroll, and vendor feeds, including EDI 834 and file integrations.
- Troubleshoot feed failures, enrollment discrepancies, and benefits data issues.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors to ensure accurate benefits administration.
- Support testing, UAT, production deployments, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Benefitfocus or Empyrean.
- Strong experience in Plan Configuration and Feed Management.
- Knowledge of Benefits Administration, Open Enrollment, ACA, COBRA, and eligibility rules.
- Experience with EDI 834, carrier integrations, payroll interfaces, and HRIS integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience integrating with Workday, ADP, UKG, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Prior implementation or production support experience in enterprise benefits administration.
