This role is responsible for responding to patient and provider inquiries related to billing, payments, and insurance coverage, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication. Daily tasks include researching account issues, explaining statements and charges, verifying insurance information, and coordinating resolution of billing discrepancies with internal teams. The representative will document all interactions in appropriate systems, follow established workflows and compliance guidelines, and escalate complex issues when needed. The role also involves contributing to a positive customer experience by maintaining professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail in every interaction.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles such as Customer Service Representatives and Customer Service, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Customer Support activities, including handling inquiries, issue resolution, and managing high call or ticket volumes.
- Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to manage expectations, follow up on concerns, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Focus on Customer Experience, including active listening, empathy, and clear, jargon-free explanations of billing and insurance details.
- Prior experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or medical office operations is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance terminology, EOBs, and basic medical billing codes is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Tower, MI, adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration, billing, or customer service is beneficial.
