Mid Michigan Medical Billing Service is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle inbound patient calls on behalf of physician practices and healthcare organizations. This role assists patients with billing questions, insurance inquiries, payment processing, account resolution, and general customer service while delivering a professional and compassionate experience.

Duties
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via multi-line phone systems, email, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure information integrity.
- Assist with office management tasks such as organizing files, managing supplies, and supporting administrative functions including bookkeeping and office organization.
- Support customer support efforts by addressing concerns, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or customer service roles with a focus on administrative support.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse client bases.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in data entry, proofreading, filing systems, and calendar management.
- Healthcare or medical office experience preferred but not required.
