Job Summary: 

The Systems Integration and Test Engineer will play a key role in ensuring successful integration, verification, and validation of complex system solutions across multiple software and hardware segments. This position requires strong coordination, analytical, and technical skills to plan, execute, and manage system-level testing activities that ensure performance, reliability, and interoperability.
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive inter-application and system-level test plans to validate end-to-end functionality.

  • Consolidate and manage segment release plans, ensuring alignment across project teams and adherence to integration schedules.

  • Identify and communicate cross-segment integration gaps and potential risks, escalating issues to the System Test Engineer (STE) or project leadership as appropriate.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and execute integration and verification tests, ensuring proper configuration management and test readiness.

  • Measure, document, and report on verification test results, providing clear analysis of test outcomes and defect trends.

  • Define and enforce integration rules, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency across system segments and maintain high-quality integration processes.

  • Collaborate with development, configuration management, and quality assurance teams to resolve integration and test issues efficiently.

  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis during integration and test phases.


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of software and hardware integration processes, version control, and release management.

  • Experience with test planning, execution, and reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-segment engineering environment.


Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may substitute for degree.

  • 5 years of relevant experience in systems integration, test engineering, or a related discipline.


Clearance Requirement: 

  • Active Top Secret security clearance 


Salary Note:

  • In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.

Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
