Machinist

Job Description:

This position is responsible for machining various pump / specialty parts using lathes, mills, files, drill presses, reamers, broaching, pneumatic presses, grinders and other various equipment. Tolerances are determined by reading and interpreting schematics, blue prints, or charts to determine machining measurements.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have the ability to work independently and have a strong mechanical, math, and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 60lbs.
• Be on their feet for 8 hrs. a day.
• Must be able to use measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and rulers.
• Strong problem solving skills.

• Strong Math skills (fractions, decimals, basic adding and subtractions up to basic algebra).

• Punctual and good attendance.

• Fork lift and overhead hoist experience.

• Ability to use torch, presses, and pneumatic equipment.
