Job Responsibilities
- Treat patients in an outpatient physical therapy setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out established treatment plans and progress interventions as appropriate within the plan of care
- Utilize therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy techniques, gait training, balance training, and functional activity progression
- Help improve patient mobility, strength, balance, pain levels, and overall function
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, safety, body mechanics, and long-term wellness
- Document patient treatment, response, progress, and functional outcomes accurately
- Communicate patient progress and concerns with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant License required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the supervising PT and clinical team
- Passion for helping patients improve function and quality of life
Preferred, But Not Required
- Outpatient orthopedic experience
- Manual therapy experience
- Experience with therapeutic exercise progression
- New graduates welcome — mentorship available
