Responsibilities:
-Looking for help with overflow of patients to work part time or on as needed basis
- Assist physical therapists in providing treatment to patients
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
Skills:
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and protocols
- Strong patient care skills, including empathy and active listening
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Experience working in a medical or acute care setting preferred
- Solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients. Your skills in trigger point therapy, occupational health, patient care, medical terminology, hospital settings, acute care, physiology knowledge, and anatomy knowledge will be essential in carrying out your responsibilities effectively.
