The Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direction of the Head Groundskeeper, for ensuring that all golf course equipment and/or grounds maintenance equipment is maintained, repaired and operational at all times, and for operating specialized equipment in the maintenance shop and on the course..
Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to this position.
Essential duties can include, but are not limited to:
1) Determine preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment
2) Diagnose malfunctions of equipment and determine appropriate resolutions
3) Operate equipment within the guidelines of the appropriate Operator’s Manual
4) Determine the appropriate inventory levels of parts and supplies.
5) Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
- Regularly stand, climb, walk, hear/listen, talk
- Frequently lift up to 50-100 pounds, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach
- Occasionally sit, crawl, stoop, kneel
- Clearly see 20 feet, with or without corrective lenses, ability to focus

- General understanding of golf course maintenance operations.
- Working knowledge of maintenance and repair of a wide variety of mechanical equipment used for golf course maintenance.

Workplace Environmental Conditions
While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will be:
Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at moderate to loud levels of sound, dependent upon the activities of the property.
- Heat: subject to high temperatures
- Cold: exposed to low temperatures
- Atmospheric Exposures: exposed to dusts, fumes, vapors, or mists
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal need (less than 10% of the time) to utilize personal transportation for trips to the hardware store, etc.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license.
- Two (2) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of golf course maintenance equipment and golf carts. Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualification is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Employee must report to their supervisor at the start and end of each shift. Work hours should coincide with company hours of operation.
