We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hi Low operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating high-lift forklifts (Hi Low) to efficiently move materials across construction sites, ensuring smooth workflow and safety compliance. Responsibilities
- Operate Hi Low forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials around construction sites
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas with precision
- Assist with inventory management by tracking materials moved on-site
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to prioritize material deliveries
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Support general construction activities as needed, including site cleanup and organization
Experience
- Proven experience operating Hi Low forklifts or similar heavy-duty material handling equipment in a construction setting
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures
- Knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, and project management principles is a plus
- Strong understanding of contracts, pricing, and negotiation techniques related to material procurement
- Experience with Bluebeam software for project documentation is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with construction management tools such as HeavyBid or similar estimating programs
- Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications related to construction projects
