Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and securely. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure compliance with all safety regulations while providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment where your driving skills and attention to safety make a real impact. Our routes consent of AR, Fort Smith, OK, TX, Laredo, and Joplin. We are flexible with weeknds off or any days needed off as well. We can work around days needed off.
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, including OTR driving routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or specialized equipment such as roll-off trucks or dump trucks.
- Transport various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and specialty loads like flatbed or tanker freight.
- Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, delivery records, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure proper cargo handling during loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading and manual handling.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and truck loading/unloading techniques.
