Plant Controller – Sunbury, PA

INFINITEK is hiring on behalf of a global manufacturing business in Sunbury, PA for a brand new Plant Controller role. This is an exciting opportunity to manage inventory valuation, product costing, fixed assets, and cost analysis while supporting both the Finance and Operations teams. This plant-based role is perfect for someone with accounting skills in manufacturing who enjoys being hands-on with standard cost accounting and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities of Plant Controller:

• Maintain standard cost inventory valuation and product costing within the accounting system.
• Review landed costs, investigate purchase price variances, and drive improvements in inventory processes.
• Perform month-end close duties including inventory reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset depreciation, and other account reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment utilization, and profitability of key accounts.
• Assist the CFO with plant cost center reporting, COGS analysis, and overall financial performance review.
• Lead and support cycle counts and year-end inventory programs, serving as the main point of contact for physical inventory.
• Ensure proper capitalization of plant expenses and adherence to accounting policies.
• Support internal and external audits, including LIFO reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of plant or cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting required; experience with LIFO, Power BI, and advanced Excel is a plus.
• CPA, MBA, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
