Vice President of Exploration
An emerging, Nevada-focused precious metals company is seeking a Vice President of Exploration to lead exploration strategy across a growing portfolio of assets and future acquisitions.
This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial team during a transformational growth phase. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing existing projects, evaluating new opportunities, and helping build a leading Nevada gold producer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute exploration strategies across a portfolio of Nevada-based projects.
- Design, manage, and optimise exploration and drilling programs to support resource growth and development objectives.
- Evaluate and advance newly acquired assets as part of an active growth strategy.
- Provide geological support to development and mine planning activities.
- Develop and maintain robust geological models and interpretations using Leapfrog and other industry-standard software.
- Identify and assess new exploration opportunities throughout Nevada.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing exploration team.
- Manage exploration budgets, contractors, consultants, and field operations.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10–20 years of progressive exploration experience with significant hands-on field geology expertise.
- Demonstrated success leading exploration programmes within Nevada.
- Strong understanding of epithermal gold systems and Nevada geology.
- Advanced geological modelling skills, including proficiency with Leapfrog.
- Experience progressing projects from exploration through resource definition and development.
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing technical teams.
