The Role
We’re looking for an AI/ML Applied Scientist I who’s eager to apply cutting-edge machine learning to real-world healthcare problems. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of scientists and engineers to design algorithms, build LLM workflows, and deliver solutions that directly impact patients, providers, and hospitals.

Responsibilities
- Design and prototype machine learning algorithms and LLM workflows for document understanding and generation
- Curate, process, and analyze business-critical healthcare data to support robust model development
- Partner with product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into scalable production systems
- Continuously explore and apply new ML/AI techniques in a rapidly evolving field
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data science, or computational software development
- Proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Ability to independently define problems, build prototypes, and evaluate results
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, etc.)
- 2 years of experience developing machine learning solutions in Python
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Familiarity with Linux environments and software engineering best practices
