Role: Desktop Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to support, manage, and improve our end-user computing environment. This role is responsible for Endpoint and device management, self-service tooling, print services, and providing advanced support through the Service Desk. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a secure, reliable, and user-friendly IT experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint & Device Management
- Manage and support Windows endpoints using Manage Engine Endpoint and Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security policies, compliance rules, and updates
- Package and deploy applications using Manage Engine Endpoint.
- Monitor device health and remediate issues proactively.
Active Directory
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, permissions)
- Manage hybrid identity environments.
- Support user lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, role changes)
- Enforce identity and access security best practices
Service Desk & End-User Support
- Provide side desk support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues
- Act as an escalation point for Service Desk tickets
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, application, and connectivity issues
- Maintain SLAs and contribute to continuous service improvement
Self-Service & Automation
- Design and maintain self-service solutions for end users (software installs, password resets, device requests)
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell preferred)
- Improve user experience by reducing manual IT touchpoints
Print Management
- Administer and support enterprise print management solutions
- Manage print servers, queues, drivers, and permissions
- Troubleshoot printing issues across local and networked devices
- Support secure and follow-me printing solutions where applicable
Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and networking teams
- Participate in projects related to endpoint modernization and security
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Desktop Engineer Endpoint Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory
- Proven experience managing devices with Microsoft Intune
- Solid understanding of Windows OS (Windows 11)
- Experience supporting Service Desk operations and ticketing systems
- Knowledge of print management in enterprise environments
- Scripting experience (PowerShell)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and endpoint security concepts
- Experience with MDM/MAM policies
- ITIL knowledge or certification
- Microsoft certifications (MD-102, AZ-104, etc.)
