A well-established and growing metal fabrication manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager / Operations Manager to lead its manufacturing operations in Eagle, Colorado. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has grown up in the fabrication and welding industry and understands what it takes to build high-performing teams, deliver quality products, and drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing leader with a strong background in custom metal fabrication, welding, and production operations. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, developing supervisors and production personnel, improving efficiency, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations within the facility.
- Manage production, scheduling, quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Develop, mentor, and hold production supervisors and shop personnel accountable.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure customer deadlines are consistently met.
- Partner with ownership and leadership to establish operational goals and long-term growth strategies.
- Foster a culture centered around safety, teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship.
- Track and improve key manufacturing metrics including productivity, quality, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, purchasing, and project management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience in a fabrication or welding environment.
- Strong background in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, custom fabrication, or heavy manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success leading fabrication shop operations and production teams.
- Deep understanding of welding processes, fabrication workflows, and shop operations.
- Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and workforce management.
- Proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience is highly preferred.
- ERP/MRP system experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
