As we grow our California presence, we are seeking a bold and well-connected Sales & Business Development Lead to drive growth, build pipeline, and win new clients.
This role is for a door opener — someone who thrives meeting people, creating opportunity, and expanding influence across the San Joaquin Valley.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales & Growth
• Generate new revenue by sourcing, pursuing, and closing new client relationships.
• Make outbound sales calls and conduct in-person visits to job sites, offices, and industry events.
• Own the sales cycle from lead generation to relationship handoff for execution.
Networking & Prospecting
• Leverage your existing network and expand ISC’s presence in Bakersfield and surrounding regions.
• Act as ISC’s face in the market — attending community, industry, and trade association events.
• Build relationships across key operators, EPCs, and contractors in the region.
Pipeline & Reporting
• Create and maintain a strong opportunity funnel in CRM.
• Meet or exceed KPI targets: outreach volume, meetings set, new accounts signed, and new revenue booked.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize targets aligned with market strategy.
Market Strategy
• Provide intelligence on market conditions, competitor moves, and client needs.
• Identify new service opportunities where ISC can deliver value and expand capabilities.
Client Experience
• Partner with ISC delivery and recruiting teams to ensure a smooth handoff and exceptional client satisfaction.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for key relationships.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
Required
• 3–7 years of hands-on sales or business development experience
• Proven track record of hitting outbound outreach, meeting, and revenue goals
• Strong network within Bakersfield or the broader California energy/industrial market
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
• Self-starter who excels working independently in the field majority of the time
• Valid driver’s license and willingness for local/regional travel
Preferred
• Experience selling in project management, construction services, or industrial staffing
