Industrial Snow Services (ISS) is seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our elite winter operations team. We provide large-scale snow removal services across the country for industrial, distribution, and medical facilities. Position Details
- Pay Range: $30 to $50 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
- Seasonal Position: October through May
- Full-time hours with extended shifts during active snow events
- Travel opportunities for nationwide storm deployments
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction-grade wheel loaders (12,000–30,000 lbs) to clear snow from parking lots, drive lanes, and trailer yards.
- Follow push maps, site-specific snow plans, and direction from Site Leads and Regional Managers.
- Perform basic pre- and post-operation inspections and safety checks on equipment.
- Utilize mounted snow plows and salt spreaders (Arctic DoubleDown) to execute full-service snow removal.
- Maintain communication with team during active events via radio or mobile dispatch.
- Assist with fuel management, cutting edge checks, and photo documentation via the ISS app.
- Safely navigate tight industrial areas including trailer yards, docks, and pedestrian zones.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment (wheel loaders, skid steers, or similar).
- Wheel loader experience strongly preferred — 12,000 to 30,000 lb machines.
- Ability to work long, overnight shifts in extreme cold and snow conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of loader safety and maintenance protocols.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Bonus: CDL or equipment certifications (preferred, not required).
