Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will support our Estimating and Project Management teams with information collection and documentation while receiving training in project estimating, job turnover, and job cost management. The role requires the ability to read and understand construction documents and details. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of general contracting principles across various construction disciplines, with ideal candidates showcasing experience &/or expertise in Division 7 (Thermal and Moisture Protection), concrete, and/or masonry construction. Additional opportunities may be available in areas such as technology, marketing, content development, and sales for those with diverse interests.
Estimating Support
- Manage bid invitations, including responding, logging, and tracking opportunities, and collecting bid documents.
- Review, process, and file bid addendums.
- Assist in compiling estimate and proposal documents.
- Support quantity take-offs and secure material/equipment pricing.
- Receive training in project estimating to develop skills in cost analysis and bid preparation.
Project Management Support
- Prepare and assemble submittals, project documents, closeout, and warranty documents.
- Create field project binders and site-specific safety binders.
- Assist with site-specific safety plans, pre-task plans, and safety submittals.
- Contribute to budget development and productivity tracking.
- Receive training in job turnover and job cost management to support project transitions and financial oversight.
Additional Opportunities

- Assist in refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating and project engineering.
- Experience in a commercial construction office environment is preferred but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365|SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Planswift, and Procore.
