Position: Precision Millwright
Reports to: Foreman, General Foreman or Superintendent

Status: Regular Full-time; Non-exempt
Project Location: Leland, NC Shop (with some travel)
Job Summary
A Millwright is responsible for maintaining and operating machinery from necessary to advanced systems.
Precision Millwrights install and upgrade machine components for optimization through analyzing blueprints and specifications.

Job Responsibilities
Read Diagrams and Schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
Perform laser alignments.
Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
Assemble and install equipment such as shifting, conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools.
Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and
steel.
Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand-tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.
Operate Engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
Select cables, ropes, pulley, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be
moved.
Job Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience with refinery/chemical/energy mechanical equipment.
Must have verifiable Precision Millwright experience.
Must have monitoring experience using data analysis, pup vibration analysis, compressor systems, lube oil.
Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to
precise tolerances.
OSHA 10 / Basic Plus / TWIC preferred.
NCCER preferred.
High School Diploma / GED
