This is a full-time, on-site role for a VDC Engineer located in Tempe, AZ. The VDC Engineer will collaborate with project teams to create and manage virtual design and construction (VDC) models. Core responsibilities include generating comprehensive 3D models, reviewing blueprints and design documents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring project accuracy and compliance. Additional duties may include supporting field teams by assisting with model-based workflows and updating plans as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in BIM software, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling tools
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional team coordination
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems, construction techniques, and relevant codes
- Ability to manage project timelines and meet deadlines efficiently
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in electrical construction or VDC workflows is a plus
