POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Service Fulfillment Specialist is a hybrid position responsible for providing front-line customer service at IMS’s pop-up or will call location. This role involves checking in customers, verifying and preparing orders, assisting with basic sales support, and handling material movement with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Interaction & Order Fulfillment:
o Greet and check in customers at the will call counter.
o Verify orders, answer product or order-related inquiries, and direct customers to the pickup area.
o Prep and stage customer orders for pickup, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Sales & Service Support:
o Provide basic sales support, including answering questions about products and assisting with add-on sales or order changes.
o Communicate effectively with the sales or dispatch teams to resolve customer issues or order discrepancies.
- Warehouse Operations:
o Load and unload metal products using forklifts and pallet jacks.
o Safely handle and move various types of metal materials (sheets, bars, tubes, etc.).
o Maintain a clean and organized pickup and staging area.
- Inventory & Safety Control:
o Control access to inventory storage and equipment areas.
o Monitor and maintain safety gear and ensure all equipment is used according to company safety protocols.
o Assist with regular inventory counts and material tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in customer service, warehouse, or material handling (preferably in metal, construction, or industrial sectors).
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
- Basic computer skills for order lookups and data entry.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
