Industrial Inspection & Analysis is hiring a VP of Information Technology to be responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology strategy with a strong emphasis on IT infrastructure, scalability, security, and operational excellence. The VP of Information Technology (IT) will report directly to the President / COO and will sit in either our Corporate Office (Alpharetta, GA) or our St. Louis, MO Lab.
This role will lead the stabilization and evolution of the company’s infrastructure environment across cloud, network, and enterprise systems while ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all business operations. The VP of IT will operate as both a strategic leader and operational executive, building and leading a high-performing IT organization while driving infrastructure decisions that directly support business growth, acquisitions, and operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s IT infrastructure strategy, including cloud, network, systems, and end-user computing environments
- Develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with company growth, acquisitions, and operational scalability
- Lead architecture direction across platforms (Azure, enterprise systems, integrations, etc.), ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization
- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, system integration, and infrastructure standardization
- Implement and improve processes across ITSM, infrastructure operations, and service delivery including disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection strategies.
- Lead enterprise IT security strategy, including alignment with CMMC, ITAR, and regulatory requirements.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing IT organization, including infrastructure, applications, and service delivery teams.
- Lead IT investments and ensure alignment with business strategy, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Support and lead technology integration for acquisitions, ensuring seamless onboarding and scalability.
- Identify opportunities where IT can drive margin improvement, productivity, and competitive advantage.
- Own the IT department P&L and budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong ROI on technology investments. Drive cost efficiency across infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise systems.
- Develop and execute vendor strategy, including contract negotiation and cost optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- 10 years of progressive IT experience, including senior leadership roles overseeing infrastructure and IT operations.
- Proven experience defining and leading IT infrastructure strategy in a multi-location or multi-entity environment.
- Strong experience across: Cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Network and systems infrastructure, Enterprise business systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in: Scaling IT environments to support growth, Leading infrastructure modernization initiatives, Managing IT budgets and cost optimization
- Experience leading teams and developing leaders (not just individual contributors).
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management.
- Experience supporting M&A integrations strongly preferred.
Position Objectives
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Manage business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory and costs.
