Inside Sales Position Summary
An inside salesperson will focus on renewing work for dormant and current customers and new customer acquisition. A large portion of this position will involve the management of our certification renewal systems. This position may involves cold calling potential clients, client business referrals, and/or researching web leads. He/she will be responsible for offering and explaining to current and prospective customers/clients all services offered and providing additional presentations as needed. Additional responsibilities include account management for our rental customers. Potential candidates must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

Inside Sales Duties And Responsibilities
- Willingness to spend time with our inspectors and engineers to gain a better understanding of our business and the services we offer.
- Cross-selling IIA services to existing customers through customer networking to find prospects who would benefit from our broader offering.
- Answering client questions and follow-up calls; potentially bringing in other IIA leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to follow-up calls.
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
- Presenting and delivering information to potential clients; virtual meetings/presentations.
- Maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; working with sales and marketing leaders to prioritize outbound efforts.
- Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
- Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Maintaining database of prospective client information using Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
- Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales.
- Working with sales team and clients to close sales and offer support throughout the entire process.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, but flexible to adapt to changing strategies.
- Persuasive and goal oriented.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
- In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
- Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client.
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
- Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, industry experience or related sales experience preferred.
- High school degree or equivalent.
