Industrial Inspection & Analysis is searching for an Equipment Shop Assistant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The Equipment Shop Assistant is a support position that performs a wide array of tasks. Depending on the business cycle/time of year, the Equipment Shop Assistant will perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: calibration of electronic/equipment shop items, inventory, shipping, IT support functions, answer phone calls from vendors and customers, administrative support for purchase orders, and supply orders.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Industrial Inspection & Analysis is searching for an Equipment Shop Assistant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The Equipment Shop Assistant is a support position that performs a wide array of tasks. Depending on the business cycle/time of year, the Equipment Shop Assistant will perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: calibration of electronic/equipment shop items, inventory, shipping, IT support functions, answer phone calls from vendors and customers, administrative support for purchase orders, and supply orders.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- IT support functions - provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for computers, office programs such as email, reports, and remote support
- Answer phone calls from vendors, customers, corporate information requests, and tech assistance
- Order tech and shop supplies as needed and maintain stocked items in quantities recommended
- Documentation of purchase orders, purchase order register, taxes paid, invoices, order acknowledgements, receipts, make/model/serial/asset #'s
- Data entry into Calibration Control Software database
- Review Annual Inventory forms completed by technicians and compare to Calibration Control database
- Ship domestic and international packages via FedEx, UPS, freight, USPS services
- Calibrate electronic/equipment shop items per ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006/2013 Standards for Calibration
- Ensure equipment stocked is ready to be issued, is documented, and marked or tagged accordingly
- Document equipment awaiting repairs, maintenance, or calibration service in Ape database
- Document items being retired, abandoned, or scrapped in Ape and Master Asset databases
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience working in similar position
- Troubleshooting repair skills of electro-mechanical devices
- Basic wiring, soldering, and cable fabrication skills
- Basic operation of tools for fabrication of special equipment needed for technician vehicle outfitting
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel), Outlook/Exchange, Access database, ISO-Images, photo editing
- Basic vehicle mechanical, servicing, and repair skills
- Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, communication skills, judgement and problem solving, and planning and organizing
