Receiving Specialist
1st shift, Hastings
The Receiving Specialist:
Must be forklift certified through Quality One Woodwork within 15 days of hire.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- ensures all trucks are unloaded, tagged, and products are entered into the computer
- loads machines with material in a timely manner to prevent shutdowns
- monitors the workplace for safety violations and potential hazards
- moves finished product to holding areas and ensures it is wrapped and labeled
- sends and receives items using UPS/FED EX, etc.
- organizes and cleans the receiving area, including outside dock doors, dunnage, and propane storage systems
- be part of the quarterly inventory team
- assists the Shipping department as necessary
- assists the Mill department as necessary
Qualified applicants should:
- be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly
- be able to climb ladders/stairs occasionally
- be able to stand/walk/bend/twist/sit continuously during a 10- hour work shift
- 1st shift hours: 4:45 am-3:15 pm
- have previous computer experience
- have proven excellent attendance
- have reliable transportation
- be able to adjust priorities throughout the work shift
- be able to work independently and as part of a team
- be able to work in an environment with a moderate level of wood dust
- be able to work in all weather conditions both indoors/outdoors
- be able to work mandatory overtime
