What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager - Southeast position at Industrial Flow Solutions?
IFS is looking for a driven Regional Sales Manager to own channel sales growth across the U.S. Southeast Region. You'll manage and deepen relationships with existing distributor partners while actively identifying and onboarding new ones—filling coverage gaps and expanding IFS's footprint in the electrical submersible pump and control panel markets.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a technical sales environment, is energized by building long-term partner relationships, and knows how to translate product expertise into commercial results.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive annual sales and orders growth for your region, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets aligned with IFS business objectives.
- Develop and execute channel sales strategies, key account plans, and distributor growth tactics tailored to your territory.
- Support channel partners with applications knowledge, technical and commercial quotations, and pricing guidance to help them close business.
- Build account plans for each partner—setting annual goals, quotas, and milestones tied to IFS growth strategies.
- Identify gaps in regional coverage and proactively recruit, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners.
- Lead partner onboarding end-to-end, ensuring a smooth transition onto IFS product platforms and building productive relationships from day one.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data in HubSpot, logging all calls, activities, and customer interactions to support forecasting and visibility.
- Represent IFS at industry trade shows and events to build market presence and source new partner relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of outside sales experience, ideally in pump manufacturing, fluid handling, or industrial distribution.
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical submersible pumps and electrical control panels; comfort discussing technical specs with engineers and procurement teams alike.
- Proven track record managing distributor or channel partner networks—developing accounts, driving quota attainment, and growing market share.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present confidently to technical and commercial audiences.
- Proficiency in HubSpot or a comparable CRM for pipeline management, activity tracking, and forecasting.
- Ability to travel frequently within your assigned territory and periodically to IFS headquarters in New Haven, CT.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in a technical sales role is valued.
- Experience with PowerBI for pipeline analysis and sales reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution context.
- Background in OSHA-compliant industrial environments.
