Job Summary **
The Fitter position plays a key role in the manufacturing process. They have hands-on skills to assemble, disassemble, repair and move machinery. A fitter is a skilled tradesperson responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling and Fitting:
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprint drawings, plans, and specifications with minimal supervision
- Fit and Weld ASME Fabrications to spec.
- Collaborate with shop personel to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.
- Conducting inspections
- Includes performing quality checks to ensure machinery operates correctly
- Repair and Maintain:
- Recognizing machinery, that needs repaired and replacement of worn or defective parts.
- Maintain safety, quality and compliance standards throughout builds
Qualifications
- Previous experience (prefer 5 years) in fitting and welding.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout
- Familiarity with ASME code work and vessel fabrication
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and shop equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and work ethic.

**Note: As we are a small fabrication business, Fitter/Welder is not a full-time job. Although Fitter/Welder will be your main responsibility, you will be expected to work in other areas such as operating machines, maintenance, and etc. as we determine your personal skills.
