Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a weekend day shift. In this role, you will perform diagnostic general radiographic procedures using a variety of imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and image quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic radiographic examinations following physician orders and established protocols.
- Operate general radiology imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation protection and infection control standards.
- Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures to promote a positive patient experience.
- Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with departmental, hospital, state, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field or completion of an accredited Radiology Program.
- Active Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) License in Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registration in Radiography.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- Current ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in general diagnostic radiology in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Experience working weekend shifts and handling a diverse patient population.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and PACS systems.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
