Sales Administrator
Position Summary
The Sales Administrator is responsible for managing and tracking customer quotations throughout the entire sales cycle. This role serves as a key support function to the sales and proposals team by ensuring quotes are accurately entered, updated, monitored, and communicated through the sales process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in CRM systems, with experience using Salesforce preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, enter, and maintain customer quotations in company systems.
- Track all quotations from initial request through final disposition (won, lost, or pending).
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quote revisions, and status updates.
- Monitor quote validity dates and proactively follow up with sales representatives on outstanding opportunities.
- Update and maintain customer and opportunity data within Salesforce CRM.
- Generate regular reports on quote activity, pipeline status, and sales metrics.
- Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, documentation, and customer correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to sales documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quote management and sales processes.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience using Salesforce CRM.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales administration, sales support, customer service, or related administrative roles.
- Experience managing quotations, order processing, or sales pipeline activities.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and sales processes.
