We are seeking a Radar PCB & Module Assembly Technician to support the assembly, soldering, and rework of electronic boards and RF modules used in radar systems. This role includes precision soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components, module assembly, inspection, and documentation following manufacturing and quality procedures.
The ideal candidate has experience with precision electronic assembly, microscope soldering, and IPC standards, and is comfortable working with ESD-sensitive components and RF hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Perform SMD and through-hole soldering on PCBs and electronic modules, including passive components, QFP/QFN packages, and RF connectors.
Assemble module hardware including shields, heatsinks, and mechanical fasteners.Perform rework and repair, including component replacement, safe desoldering, and pad cleaning.
Assemble submodules using torque-controlled tools and thermal interface materials (TIM) where required.
Inspect solder joints using microscopes or magnification tools.
Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of electronic components and assemblies.
Ensure traceability and documentation including work orders, serial numbers, and rework records.
Follow engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree (AS/AAS) in Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation, or related technical field OR technical/trade school certification as an Electronics Technician.
Hands-on experience with precision PCB soldering and electronic assembly.
Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
Familiarity with ESD handling procedures.
Technical Skills
Experience with:
SMD and through-hole soldering techniques
Hot-air or rework tools for component replacement
RF hardware handling such as connectors, shields, and grounding structures
Basic electrical verification using digital multimeters
Precision tools including microscopes, torque wrenches, and crimping tools
Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 or similar soldering standards (Class 3 preferred) is highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
Strong attention to detail and steady manual dexterity
Ability to follow controlled manufacturing procedures
Experience working with ESD-sensitive electronics
Ability to work shift schedules if required
Occasional travel may be required internationally (Initial extended travel internationally, occasional travel overtime); Passport and US Citizenship Required
Spanish language skills are a plus
