Job Title: Radar Integration Test Technician
Job Description

The Radar Integration Test Technician performs hands-on RF testing, assembly, and integration of radar subsystems in a laboratory or controlled test environment. This role focuses on using RF test equipment and instrumentation to validate radar performance, accurately document results, and support troubleshooting activities while adhering to defense, quality, and safety standards. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale radar modernization efforts and to work with advanced radar and RF technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RF testing on radar subsystems using standard RF test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assemble and integrate RF components, including RF wiring, cabling, and connectors, to support radar subsystem integration.
  • Set up and operate test equipment in laboratory or controlled test environments to execute defined test plans.
  • Follow detailed technical procedures, test plans, and documentation requirements to ensure consistent and repeatable test execution.
  • Record, organize, and report test results accurately using prescribed documentation and reporting tools.
  • Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of radar subsystems and RF components based on test outcomes and performance data.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable defense, quality, and safety standards during all test and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to refine test setups, resolve technical issues, and improve test processes.
  • Maintain test equipment, cables, and RF components in good working condition and report any issues or calibration needs.
  • Travel internationally, including extended assignments of approximately 90 days in Spain, to support radar integration and testing activities as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience working with RF instrumentation and RF testing equipment.
  • Practical experience with RF wiring, cabling, and RF component assembly.
  • Experience working in laboratory or production test environments.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures, test plans, and documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Electronics background with exposure to RF concepts and electrical testing.
  • Ability to set up and operate RF and electronic test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail in recording and reporting test results.
  • Ability to support troubleshooting of RF and radar subsystems based on test data.
  • Eligibility and ability to travel internationally, including extended stays of approximately 90 days in Spain.
  • Valid passport.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Associate degree (AS/AAS) in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Control Systems, or a related technical field OR technical/trade school certification as an Electronics or Telecommunications Technician.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, RF Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting radar or defense-related systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with defense or aerospace standards is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus and can support communication during work in Spain.
  • Electrical technician experience and familiarity with electrical systems.
  • Electrical engineering experience or exposure to engineering practices related to RF and radar systems.
Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in a brand-new, modern facility in Olathe, offering a clean, professional laboratory and production-style test environment. The work centers on radar subsystems and RF technologies, with regular use of RF test equipment, instrumentation, and electronic test benches in controlled test areas. The environment emphasizes adherence to defense, quality, and safety standards, with structured procedures and documentation practices. The role includes international travel, including approximately 90-day assignments in Spain, to support radar integration and testing efforts in similar controlled environments. The facility and project focus provide exposure to large-scale radar modernization initiatives and advanced air traffic control radar systems, with a culture that values technical excellence, precision, and collaboration among engineers and technicians.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $87000.00/yr.
