Job Title: Payroll Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support our team in New York City. This role will handle end-to-end multi-frequency payroll processing, data entry, SAP payroll adjustments, and garnishments, while providing critical coverage during upcoming Oracle system testing. The ideal candidate thrives under tight deadlines and excels in a multi-state, union corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing & Adjustments: Process multi-frequency union and non-union payrolls. Perform SAP payroll adjustments, schedule updates, and data entry.

Compliance & Auditing: Audit and reconcile HR and payroll data to resolve discrepancies. Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including multi-state taxation and SOX compliance.

Garnishments & Reconciliations: Provide timely processing and setup of employee garnishments. Reconcile payroll integration and bank files.

System Testing & Projects: Support specific project deadlines and provide testing support for system upgrades and periodic tax updates.

Reporting & Support: Generate ad hoc payroll reports and respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries with excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 3 years of payroll processing experience within a large, enterprise corporate setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal/written communication, ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and the capacity to prioritize competing demands under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

Systems: Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or other major HCM systems is heavily preferred.

Union Payroll: Prior experience managing end-to-end processing for union payrolls is highly preferred.
