Mechanical Technician

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical systems used in manufacturing and industrial settings. Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Inspect equipment regularly, identify mechanical issues, and perform repairs or part replacements using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment. I

Key Responsibilities

Perform set-up, operation, inspection, and tear-down of large water-cooled chillers in an engineering laboratory environment.

Connect, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems on Charlotte-manufactured equipment.

Maintain and monitor test setups, identifying malfunctions and ensuring safe, reliable operation. Apply knowledge of industrial electrical systems (including 460-3-60 machinery and medium-voltage power supplies).

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background; proven mechanical aptitude.

Minimum 3 years of experience using hand and pneumatic tools.

Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs safely.
