Summary:
Scientist I will support manufacturing sciences by synthesizing functionalized resins used in HPLC column production. The role involves polymer chemistry processes, analytical testing, and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Synthesize raw and functionalized resins using established protocols
- Perform polymer chemistry techniques (ATRP, grafting, polymerization)
- Conduct analytical testing and interpret HPLC/UPLC, GC-MS data
- Monitor production issues and implement improvements
- Collaborate with R&D, process development, and production teams
- Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- 0–1 year manufacturing/lab experience
- Knowledge of polymer & analytical chemistry
- Experience with chromatography (HPLC/UPLC)
- Ability to analyze resin properties (size distribution, surface area)
- Familiar with MS Office and quality standards (ISO9001 preferred)
