Position Overview:
As a Remote Accounting Clerk at Indorama Ventures, you will play a key role in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting activities. You should be comfortable handling a high volume of data entry, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and record financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, ledgers, and financial records to support reporting and analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support internal audits by providing accurate documentation and timely responses to requests.
- Maintain organized and secure digital records of all financial transactions.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as needed to support the finance department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite (or similar platforms).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
