911 Sales Engineer, South Region (FL, GA, SC)

INdigital
Fort Wayne, IN Full Time
POSTED ON 4/14/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/11/2026
Description

INdigital is seeking a technically skilled Sales Engineer with direct, hands-on experience in Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) systems and call handling solutions. This is not a general networking role — the ideal candidate understands the public safety communications ecosystem and can engage credibly with PSAP directors, 911 coordinators, and technical staff from day one.

You will support the full solution lifecycle: pre-sales design, implementation, and ongoing customer support — serving as the technical authority for our Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) and call handling portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Design and present NG911, NGCS, and call handling solutions tailored to PSAP and public safety agency requirements
  • Serve as the primary technical resource in pre-sales engagements — owning the solution design and technical narrative
  • Manage complex project delivery, ensuring milestones, quality standards, and customer expectations are met
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support, upgrades, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, product, and support teams to ensure seamless solution delivery
  • Document configurations, technical processes, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with NG911 / Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) — this is a hard requirement
  • Hands-on experience with public safety call handling systems (e.g., Zetron, Motorola VESTA, Carbyne, or similar platforms)
  • Understanding of ESInet architecture, i3 standards, and PSAP infrastructure
  • Experience with SIP, SBCs, and VoIP systems in a production environment
  • Strong pre-sales skills: ability to translate complex technical solutions into compelling customer presentations
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet network environments as they relate to public safety deployments
  • Familiarity with Asterisk or similar open-source VoIP platforms
  • NENA i3 or related public safety communications certifications
  • Prior experience working with or selling to PSAPs, counties, or state 911 authorities

Who You Are

  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Technically credible with public safety stakeholders — you've been in a PSAP and know what dispatchers and 911 coordinators care about
  • Equally comfortable in a sales meeting and a technical deep-dive
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously

If your background is primarily in enterprise networking or IT infrastructure without specific NG911 or public safety call handling experience, this role is likely not the right fit.

Benefits & Compensation Highlights

  • We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Unlimited PTO — flexible time off for vacation, personal, and sick needs, effective after 30 days of employment
  • Comprehensive Health Benefits — medical (HDHP), dental, vision, and HSA, effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment
  • Life & Disability Insurance — group life, voluntary supplemental life, and company paid short-term disability and voluntary long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) with Strong Company Match — 100% match up to 5% of salary, plus a 3% Safe Harbor contribution and 2% discretionary profit share, after one year of service
  • Technology Allowance — monthly stipend for internet and phone
