What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Indianhead Estates?
**Overview:**
We are currently looking for an experienced Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living Facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the licensed Assisted Living community to include financial management; business planning; development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of program services; management of staff; and delivery of high-quality services to Residents and their families.
**Responsibilities:**
- Maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
- Ensures that the Community is prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through regular auditing and updating of Community policies and procedures, medical records documentation, monitoring of environmental standards, etc.
- Collaborates with COO/Owner on monthly financial reports and provides explanation for variances.
- Oversees Payroll completion and HR compliance.
- Oversees and supervises all team members serving in the community.
- Optimizes all opportunities to generate revenue and ancillary revenue.
- Ensures timely in-services and trainings are conducted for team members.
- Promotes team building through participation and/or leadership at regular staff meetings.
- Assists in recruitment of staff.
Resident Care:
- Assures high-quality services as needed and desired by Residents and that resident rights are protected
- Ensures staff, Residents, and families are educated about Resident rights.
- Coordinates and completes the move-in process to ensure leases and Resident Service Plans are coordinated and properly carried out.
- Responds to family, resident, and team member requests in a timely manner.
- Works collaboratively with direct reports to emphasize the team’s role in sales and participation in the Community Marketing Action Plan and Sales Action Plan.
- Ensures compliance with all assessments and care coordination assessments
- Completes preadmission screenings for all new residents to determine care level and anticipate needs at move in.
- Responsible for scheduling team members and must be willing to cover shifts as needed to meet the needs of the residents.
Compliance and Safety:
- Enforces OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
- Ensures full compliance with all laws and regulations related to the operation of an assisted living facility.
- Follows all emergency procedures.
- Understands the safety policies and procedures.
- Investigates and reviews all on-site injuries.
- Utilizes tracking and trending to review ongoing quality improvements in community.
Qualifications:
- Active Idaho AL license or ability to obtain licensure within specified time frame.
- Assisted Living and/or Memory Care community experience is a must
- Knowledge of current assisted living principles, methods, and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medicines and narcotic protocol.
- Current knowledge of administrative procedures with the ability to assist in recruiting,
- Selecting, and the orientation of management personnel as well as to plan and direct
the work of others.
- Comprehensive knowledge of community resources particularly in the health and
supportive services.
- Ability to represent the facility in its contracts with residents, their families, the medical community and other institutions and agencies.
