Lead Community Employment Specialist

Job Overview

Responsibilities

· Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of employment skills and community integration.

· Ensure all programming aligns with person-centered principles, organizational objectives, and regulatory standards.

· Design structured and engaging curricula focused on skill areas such as:

o Employment soft and hard skills

o Social and communication development

o Community navigation and safety

o Health and wellness

o Self-advocacy

· Monitor program, participate in feedback, make improvements, as necessary.

· Train, supervise, and evaluate program staff to ensure quality service delivery.

· Oversee goal-setting processes and maintain familiarity with client assessments and individualized service plans.

· Ensure consistent implementation of support strategies, skill development plans, and behavioral support techniques.

· Communicate effectively with families, guardians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members.

· Advocate for participants’ rights, preferences, and ongoing personal development.

· Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, businesses, recreational facilities, and service providers.

· Develop community-based opportunities such as volunteer placements, skill-building outings, workshops, and events.

· Foster an inclusive environment that encourages meaningful participation from all individuals.

· Ensure all program operations comply with applicable state, federal, and funding agency requirements.

· Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, attendance records, goal tracking, incident reports, and client files.

· Support preparation for audits, inspections, and internal quality reviews.

• Develop program schedules, activity calendars, staffing plans, and updating social media platforms weekly.
• Support developing and updating program policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Contribute to organizational planning, strategic initiatives, and quality‑improvement efforts.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
