Indy West Christian School is seeking a caring, dependable, and mature Christian individual to serve as Assistant Soccer Coach (5th/6th Grade Team) for the 2026-2027 school year. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Head Coach in supervising and teaching student-athletes, while instilling positive Christian character traits.
Professional Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to coordinate, manage, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to relate well with students and adults
Spiritual and Personal Qualifications:
- A personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ
- Active member of an evangelical church
- Evidence of spiritual maturity and a clear Christian testimony
- Person of integrity who exhibits the fruit of the Spirit in actions and speech
- Able to maintain confidentiality
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising coaches and volunteers within the sport
- Help oversee athletes, including locker room supervision and drop-off/pick-up coordination
- Support practice scheduling and communicate conflicts with the athletic department
- Help maintain athletic facilities and equipment (fields, gym, locker rooms, etc.)
- Attend all required pre-season athletic department meetings
- Participate in pre-season parent meetings and maintain regular communication with families and athletes
- Educate families on registration platforms (Final Forms and Eventlink)
- Assist with uniform distribution and collection
- Complete accident reports promptly
- Help organize end-of-season awards banquet
- Submit maintenance requests to the Athletic Director as needed
- Serve as a godly role model
- Observe the Matthew 18 Principle in all relationships
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student matters
