Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily front-desk operations, including greeting guests and managing schedules
- Deescalate crisis and support students in crisis until the Dean or a Counselor arrives
- Assist students with paperwork and applications for services offered through the Center
- Assist in the proctoring of paper and computer based tests
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and clean reception area
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- High school diploma required
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in office or reception operations preferred
Required Skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to assess students in crisis and determine when to escalate support to the Dean or a counselor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to learn new software and campus systems
- Ability to work well with college students and create a positive front-desk experience
