Position Summary & Description
The Student Co-op is seeking applications from students to be a Computer Lab Attendant starting in the FALL 2021 semester. We are looking for students who are reliable and have some experience using computers.
You can expect between 10-13 hours a week & you will be required to assist in minor daily/weekly cleaning tasks in the computer lab.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Monitoring the HUB Computer Lab during your scheduled shifts.
- Assisting students with computer & printing questions.
- Assisting in weekly cleaning of the computer lab.
- Coming to work on time and being a team player when co-workers are looking for shift coverages.
Position Qualifications
- You will be required to submit your class schedule if selected for an interview.
PREFERRED:
- Students who are available during multiple days and times
- Students with Federal Work Study
The department is interested in candidates who have communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members.

Essential Functions
The work of this position occurs in a typical office environment. Student must have the following abilities:
- Provide assistance and guidance to other students in the computer lab.
- Communicate both orally and in writing to issue, receive and carry out instructions and orders effectively.
- Use a variety of common office machines such as computers, keyboards, printers and similar equipment.
- Perform manual duties that are required to keep the computer lab clean.
- Treat co-workers and students working in the lab with respect.
