The Office of Student Life is focused on building a strong foundation to ensure every student's Indiana University (IU) experience is positive, safe, healthy, and meaningful. The Office of Student Life staff and multiple departments aim to help students navigate their time at IU, providing the tools they need to be successful in school and after graduation. Students are our priority, and their health, safety, and overall well-being are our core mission.
First Year and Family Experience Programs is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and successful transition for new Hoosiers and their families. Our mission is to provide first-year students with the support, resources, and programming they need to thrive at Indiana University, both inside and outside the classroom. We help students build community, develop skills, and make the most of their IU journey from day 1.
The Hoosier Welcome Team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for new and returning students during the first week of the academic year. This short-term, stipend-based position supports the execution of large-scale campus programs, including CultureFest and Traditions and Spirits, helping ensure a positive and memorable start to the Indiana University Bloomington experience.

- Assists with the setup and teardown of large-scale campus events
- Serves as a friendly and approachable presence for students and guests
- Welcomes attendees and help foster an inclusive, energetic environment
- Provides accurate, basic information about campus resources, locations, and university traditions
- Supports event staff with day-of needs and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Contributes to the overall success of programs by being proactive, reliable, and team-oriented
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
WORK EXPERIENCE
