The College Office of Facilities and Science Infrastructure manages approximately 1.2 million square feet of space allocated to the College across 82 buildings. Our responsibilities include processing facility upgrades, furniture and equipment requests, small project renovations and ergonomic requests, space planning for large and small projects, preparing and submitting space requests to the Campus Space Committee, space efficiency analysis, building management, relocations, and managing major capital projects for new construction and renovations.
The office maintains an internal space inventory and management system to manage College space more efficiently and to complement the university space inventory process.

- Conducts regular walkthroughs of assigned buildings to assess facility conditions, identify maintenance concerns, and help ensure spaces remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with building occupants, departmental representatives, contractors, and Facilities Operations staff.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for facility-related questions, concerns, and operational support needs.
- Coordinates and monitors maintenance requests by entering work orders, tracking ticket progress, and following up to support timely completion of repairs and services.
- Inspects hallways, bathrooms, laboratories, classrooms, offices, and other common areas for maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
- Works closely with contractors and construction teams performing work within assigned buildings to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to occupants.
- Assists with the coordination and oversight of office, lab, and departmental moves, including providing onsite support during moving activities.
- Processes and manages key requests, including coordination of key issuance, pickup, and returns.
- Identifies and reports safety concerns and submit requests for corrective action related to areas surrounding assigned facilities.
- Provides interim building management coverage and operational support for facilities without designated building managers or during staff absences.
- Collaborates with Facilities Operations teams, including the Control Center and Landscape Services, to support ongoing building operations and maintenance needs.
- Supports additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 4 years in facilities management, project management, business operations, or related field
